Hello, we are William Bate, Art Director, and Curtis Brittles, Copywriter.

A senior creative team that love solving problems and executing them in any media channel.

Will is a Buckinghamshire alumni, with a 2.1 in graphic design and advertising, and Curtis picked up a 1st at Staffordshire University.

After spells at Grey and Saatchi & Saatchi, we landed roles at M&C Saatchi under the watchful eyes of Simon Dicketts and James Lowther.

We’ve worked together for two decades at M&C Saatchi and been a pivotal force in

landing new-business wins such as NatWest, Kenwood, LNER, Ladbrokes, Google, Spire

Healthcare and more recently a mammoth Department of Business and Trade win.

For many pitches and projects we were the lead creative team, ensuring the work, presentations and creative decks were pixel perfect. We are extremely client-facing creatives, and love the buzz of presenting world-class work.

We’ve picked up dozens of industry awards throughout our career, from

Cannes Gold Lions, One Show and D&AD’s as well as top 10 Gunn Report positions.

Throughout our time at M&C, we have learned from some of the biggest and best names in the business, including Tiger Savage, Mark Goodwin, Justin Tindall and Graham Fink, scooping multiple awards under their leadership.

Recently we have found reward in mentoring up-and-coming creatives, by playing key roles in the M&C Open House scheme - an exciting crash-course into the world of advertising that culminates in a real pitch to a real client, in which our teams took first place multiple times.

We have successfully CD’d projects when called upon and enjoy working with clients to find

brutally simple and memorable solutions to the most complex briefs.

These include projects for Gamble Aware, The Department of Business and Trade and LNER.

Outside of advertising, Will likes composing music, dissecting film, classic cars and cooking up a storm in the kitchen. He also volunteers at The Camrose Centre, helping homeless and vulnerably housed people. Curtis is a keen runner, devourer of books, and has just completed an epic walk from London to Brighton.

For the first time in 20 years we are on the market, and available for a new exciting position.
